About

Store Norske Stilig is a colour font inspired by the photo type font Indigo, created by Andy Song (1936–1995). Indigo was designed in 1972 for Studios Hollenstein Phototypo (1957–1978), a Paris-based business founded by Swiss type designer Albert Hollenstein that specialised in photographic display typefaces. Stilig Colour’s vibrant palette and layered components enable playful, expressive typographic combinations that set it apart from traditional monochrome fonts. The font is also available in four monochrome styles, each with unique characteristics. Dark features bold, solid letterforms filled in and accented with a white rainbow detail. Light consists of outlined letterforms with a white rainbow accent. Solid offers fully coloured, filled letterforms. Open presents only the outlines of the letterforms. Stilig has proven popular in silk screen and riso printing, as well as creative applications such as posters, logos, and record covers, thanks to its distinctive visual effect and versatility.
