Store Norske Litteratur Mono is the monospaced companion to Litteratur. Its starting point lies in the sturdy old-style serifs found in Norwegian literary anthologies from the early twentieth century, including Nordisk Antikva and Plantin. Litteratur draws this tradition into a crisper contemporary form, and Litteratur Mono carries the same atmosphere into a typewriter-inspired format.

The family retains the pronounced serifs, generous x-height, and compact vertical proportions of Litteratur. In monospaced form, these qualities take on a firmer rhythm and a more mechanical texture, while the historical warmth of the original family remains present.

Litteratur Mono is made for branding, editorial work, digital applications, and typographic systems where a fixed-width serif can bring a distinct literary character. It can be used independently or together with Litteratur as part of the same visual identity.

The font software has three stylistic sets: ss01 for alternate oldstyle one forms, ss02 for alternate lowercase a forms and ss03 for lowercase multiplier forms.
